Why I Hate Brock Lesnar

Hate’s a pretty strong word, and the fact is I’ve never met Brock Lesnar, so I guess what I really mean is I hate what Lesnar represents and that to me is meat-headedness–no technique.
A big barbarian who smashes through opponents with no style, just mass and aggression, and the fact that he got a title fight so fast, bugs me too, not to mention the fact he’s from professional wrestling, all of it is too much for me to like the dude.
I have certain prejudices that I carry around with me that makes it hard for me to appreciate Lesnar or his style. The great thing about MMA/jiu-jitsu competitions is there is a winner and a loser, the best man wins, meat-head or not. So, even though I think Lesnar’s style is brutish and unrefined the fact is he’s won fights. Time will tell whether or not he deserves to be where he is.
In the meantime, Tap or Die will stand behind the technicians, the giant killers, the students of physics and leverage, the mat-magicians that challenge meat-heads and make them disappear. Poof!

Tap or die, i love your blog, and agree with every article you’ve written. Hell, i think your writing is brilliant. I have to take a stance on the whole Brock Lessnar thing though. Granted, Brock is no B.J. Penn technique wise, actually far far from it. He is also guilty of being a meathead, and i always choose technique over power, but you cant deny that he worked his ass off to be that big, and NIMBLE. My stance comes here though. I think Brock has tons of skills, tons! How many of the wrestlers in the UFC are NCAA 1x champ, and 1x runner-up? Only a couple, his wreslting is sick His BJJ needs alot of polishing, but his positioning and wrestling are up there with the best in the business. And his tat? It’s not the most astetically pleasing tattoo ever, but a cool representation of feeling that he’s always had a knife at his throat. I’m sure the dude has been through his fare share of it, and just trying to represent that like any tattoo does. In closing, about his title shot, The UFC is a business, and they knew he would make them alot of $ with all the hype that surrounds a dude that big and agile. However, he did handle “The Natural” for the belt. We wrestlers stick together even in the world of BJJ
Mir will snap his leg next time they fight, don’t worry. Brock will be back to smashing people with metal folding chairs, and sanity will return to our world.
We can only hope.
I hate Brock He`s way to cocky and thinks the UFC is “his” now. I hope in time due that someone either knocks him out or snaps his freakin leg right off.
How long have you been blogging…your good at it.
