Thoughts about Jiu-Jitsu and the Universe

Being a big dude sucks in jiu-jitsu. When you’re brand new everyone wants to train with you, they want to school the big fella’; they want to feed their ego a little by making the big boy tap. It’s understandable. But when that big boy starts getting good, a lot of those same guys start shying away from training with him.

It’s unfair. The next time the big man wants to roll—you roll—yes, it sucks being on bottom, yes, if he’s getting good you’ll probably get your butt kicked, but you’ll both get something out of it and your ego will grow back. Stop duckin’ and dodgin’ and train.

When you big guys tap somebody, it’s because you’re “too damn big.” Not like you learned some technique or anything. haha

When you’re my size everyone is a big dude. I get confused when i roll with someone my own size.

That’s funny, and a good point.
