Thoughts about Jiu-Jitsu and the Universe

Sometimes I feel like I let people down. It’s nothing to cry over, but it still bugs me. On Friday West Side has three outstanding guys fighting in Pocatello, Idaho. I don’t think I’m going to make it. That sucks. Luckily for them and the rest of us at West Side, Juan Santa Cruz, trainer and partner, will be there to coach and support these guys like he’s done from day one.

I really need to be there, but all I can do is wish these guys good luck and give them some West Side Love and hope they return home victorious, because they deserve it. Represent!

Just got word from the West Siders that fought in Pocatello. Josh Miller wins (rear Naked choke rd 1), Carl Sims loses (dominated rd 1, then gassed lost via ground and pound), Vaea Fiefia wins (opponent tapped due to ground and pound). Congratulations fellas–West Side!
