Second Chances and Stupidity

Life is funny, you have many chances to show what you’re made of, but most of those opportunities are things that are unseen. When I was younger I always dreamt of defeating monstrous creatures, or dastardly villains, or awful space aliens from the planet Doom; through these deeds I would be able to prove my manhood, to show my courage and character and be lauded by all the world, but character is what you do when people aren’t looking.
I believe in people, and I don’t give up on them when stupidity lays waste to their brain, and murders their common sense. That doesn’t mean they don’t deserve what’s coming to them, sometimes people deserve to get kicked in the ass, but you have to allow people a chance to get their act together, and when they do, we should be waiting, with a smile and a second chance.
*If you’ve already given that person a second chance then screw ‘em.
