Octopus and Style

Okay, I may be becoming a little obsessed with this octopus thing, but I don’t care. I found this picture of a skate park in Switzerland—it’s dope. I’ve seen this picture all over the internet and I must admit I like it. It’s different.
Now the question becomes how do we create something so cool people can’t help tell everyone about it? Well maybe we should start by being different, but being different isn’t enough. The guys that painted this pool probably weren’t thinking about being different. I bet they just wanted to paint something cool, something they liked; something that was true to them.
I guess what I’m saying is if you want people to notice you, your school, your martial art, your business, you shouldn’t just be different, you should be true to yourself. You should do things you think are cool, and if people don’t appreciate it at least you’ll be happy with what you’ve created.
