Besides my family, there’s nothing I love more than Jiu-jitsu and boobs, but I don’t love them together. I noticed this Lucky Gi ad (I have nothing against Lucky Gis, I think they’re a top quality gi and a lot of guys I train with have them and really like them), but although this girl is bad, I don’t want to be thinking about her while I’m training jiu-jitsu.
Okay, that being said, the only reason I noticed the ad was because of the girl. It’s always going to be girls before gis. That’s just hardwired into the males’ brain, there’s no getting away from that, so as a business move it’s brilliant (and although hypocritical, I may use the same tactic for Tap or Die one day—I have no shame).
My point is this, I don’t want to see scantily clad babes in jiu-jitsu gis because I don’t want to equate anything sexual to jiu-jitsu—nothing. I don’t even want it entering my mind—I just don’t. I’m all for boobs; I’m all for jiu-jitsu; I just don’t want to see them mixed together.
That being said, the girl is bad.
